The department performs distance education using computer-based telecommunication technologies as an alternative of the full-time and part-time forms of education. The distance education at the University conforms to the European Community Course Transfer System.

The interactive communication between students and instructors is provided by an integrated information and education system for distance education. The integrated information and education system for distance education maintains:

• administrative data basis - student records, instructors, education documentation;
• educational data basis - educational products and library;
• e-mail communication between students and instructors;
• on-line communication between students and instructors.

The education is realized via an independent communication channel and contemporary information and communication equipment. The department employs a team of specialists that includes: system programmers,  , administrative assistants,    system administrator
